Alan Burkitt MSc MRICS
Chartered Surveyor
Alan is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) based in Garforth, specialising in Landlord & Tenant and lease advisory matters. He advises landlords and occupiers on rent reviews, lease renewals, restructures, and negotiations, helping secure favourable outcomes and long-term value.
Alan began his surveying career in 2008 after retraining from banking and has advised a wide range of commercial property clients. Having started at Rowland Burkitt Chartered Surveyors, he returned to the firm in 2015 after qualifying, following time at Dunlop Heywood.
Known for his practical, commercially focused approach, Alan provides clear, strategic advice aligned with his clients’ objectives.
James Burkitt MSc MRICS
Chartered Surveyor
James is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) specialising in business rates. Based in Northallerton, he advises clients across the industrial, childcare, and automotive sectors, helping reduce liabilities through strategic appeals, mitigation planning, and ongoing rates management.
He began his career at the Valuation Office Agency after completing a Master’s in Real Estate and progressed to Lead Valuer within the National Valuation Unit, working on complex, high-value industrial assets. Since joining Rowland Burkitt Chartered Surveyors in 2022, James has provided clear, practical advice on rating matters across multiple sectors.
