Business Rates

2017 & 2023 Rating Lists

Rowland Burkitt Chartered Surveyors are instructed to act on behalf of Trent Barton for the duration of the 2017 & 2023 Rating Lists.

Undertaking the instructions involved inspecting all premises and, where appropriate, lodging appeals on our client's behalf.

In the context of business rates, we have assisted Trent Barton in advising on the response to the Covid-19 crisis by identifying properties that are eligible for reliefs and lodging appeals for those that are not.

Business rates appeals for Trent Barton's portfolio have involved an understanding of the contractors method of valuation which takes the cost of reconstruction as the starting point for the rating valuation.
